Copy your snippet
In the dashboard, open your site and go to Install. Your snippet looks like this, with your own site key:
<script src="https://chatti.sh/w.js" data-site="cs_your_site_key" async></script>The site key is public: it only identifies which site's guide to show. It is not a password.
Add it to your pages
- Open the HTML of your site, or the shared footer template if you have one.
- Paste the snippet just before the closing
</body>tag. - Upload or deploy. The guide appears on every page that has the snippet.
Check that it works
Open a page of your site, then go back to Install and click Verify installation. When we've seen the guide load, the page says "Installed" with the time and the address it loaded on. If it says we haven't seen the snippet yet, open a page with the snippet once, then check again.
The guide only answers on your own website: the page's address must be on your site's domain or one of its subdomains. A copy of the snippet on someone else's site shows nothing.
Optional settings
You can add these attributes to the script tag:
| Attribute | What it does |
|---|---|
data-position="left" | Puts the launcher in the bottom left corner instead of the right. |
