How answers work

Wilma answers only from pages on your website, links to the page that backs each answer up and highlights the sentence. When she can't find it, she says so.

Only your pages

When a visitor asks a question, we search the pages we mapped on your site and give the AI only the best matching ones. Wilma writes a short answer from those pages and nothing else.

Before an answer is shown, we check it:

  • every link must point to a page we found on your site, so the guide never makes up an address;
  • highlighted sentences must appear word for word on the linked page;
  • web addresses and email addresses that aren't on your site are removed.

Each answer ends with link chips to the pages that back it up. Clicking one opens the page in the same tab and highlights the sentence that answers the question, so visitors don't have to hunt for it. The conversation is kept, and the panel reopens on the new page.

When your site doesn't say

If we can't find a confident match, the AI isn't asked at all. Wilma replies that she couldn't find an answer on your site and doesn't want to guess, and shows the closest pages instead. The question is logged in Content gaps so you can see what visitors are missing.

When a site uses up its conversations for the month, the guide doesn't switch off. It answers with links straight from your site map ("These pages should help:") with up to three pages and their summaries, until the month resets or you upgrade. The same happens briefly if the AI service is unavailable. See Billing, limits and overage.

Keeping answers current

Verified sites are re-checked every night, so new, changed and removed pages are picked up on their own. A removed page disappears from answers along with its links. You can also start a crawl at any time from the Site map page, and the WordPress plugin sends changes the moment you publish.

Fair use

To stop abuse, a single visitor can send about 10 messages a minute. If someone sends faster, they see "You're sending messages quickly. Wait a moment, then try again."
